Susan Stitcher is CEO and co-founder of Horizon Consulting Services, LLC. Susan has over 30 years of heathcare consulting, management and reimbursement experience. Susan’s past employment includes a Big 4 accounting firm and national healthcare consulting firms. She has extensive experience in Maryland rate regulation including: full and partial rate review methodology, rate compliance and regulatory reporting. Susan assisted Maryland facilities in the transition to a severity-based reimbursement system. In addition to her regulatory experience, she has managed clinical program initiatives, severity-based coding reviews and severity-based clinical documentation improvement (CDI) programs. Susan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. Susan is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
